After my graduation from grad school last May I decided to reward myself
with a trip to Pensacola, Florida to visit my best friend who had moved
there a week prior to my arrival. One day during the visit we decided
to take a walk around town and get to know her surroundings when we
happened upon this neighborhood. At first glance we both thought it was a
nicely kept park but upon further investigation we discovered that it
was not a park but a very nice, very Edward Scissorhands-esque
neighborhood with manicured lawns and not a gum wrapper in sight. Well,
while we were walking and thoroughly enjoying our time together I came
across this flower growing in one of the perfect houses on the perfect
street. I know it has a name and I'm not the first person to discover
this particular type of flower but I like think I did. I snapped a few
shots of and here are the ones I like best. Enjoy!
