After my graduation from grad school last May I decided to reward myself
with a trip to Pensacola, Florida to visit my best friend who had moved
there a week prior to my arrival. One day during the visit we decided
to take a walk around town and get to know her surroundings when we
happened upon this neighborhood. At first glance we both thought it was a
nicely kept park but upon further investigation we discovered that it
was not a park but a very nice, very Edward Scissorhands-esque
neighborhood with manicured lawns and not a gum wrapper in sight. Well,
while we were walking and thoroughly enjoying our time together I came
across this flower growing in one of the perfect houses on the perfect
street. I know it has a name and I'm not the first person to discover
this particular type of flower but I like think I did. I snapped a few
shots of and here are the ones I like best. Enjoy!
Ok..take two... if I remember correctly what I wanted to say the first time... I think its so special that you decided to write on your visit to Pensacola. When you came it was foreign to both of us and we explored it together with curiosity. Now Pensacola is my home. And I look forward to the day that you can come visit my home and I can show why I love this place so much :) Thanks for writing this post. It made me smile!
